Objective

To improve the contributor experience for new and existing contributors to Mautic, so that we can make it easier for people to get involved and grow our contributor base, allowing us to go further, faster.

Key outcomes

  • Each team has a clear onboarding process for new contributors

  • All contributors are recognised and rewarded for their contributions

  • Growth in new contributors year on year with a total increase of 50% by 2023

Problem Statement

Currently we have a small base of active contributors who are helping in several areas to support the community, but there are more things to do than people to do them.

If we want to really grow Mautic and achieve our goals, we need to convert more of our ‘takers’ into ‘makers’ and make sure that we do not have a leaky funnel, losing contributors after they first get involved.

This initiative has two key areas of focus:

  1. Bringing in new contributors to Mautic, especially from our international communities

  2. Retaining contributors and creating an engaged, thriving community of Mauticians who love to give back to Mautic and support others in contributing.
